Pouring My Art Out

A native-born Sino-Kadazan Sabahan, Anastasia Agusto, is a part-time resin artist specializing in ocean-inspired resin art. She does all her tinkering from her humble little home studio. She draws her inspiration from the white sandy beaches of Sabah as she grew up in coastal Borneo. It is her hope that by creating ocean-inspired pieces, it will raise awareness on beaches, oceans & their inhabitants’ conservation. Most of her work involves up-cycling locally sourced native wood, namely, Acacia & Tamasu. By up-cycling dead wood and turning them into beautiful art pieces, she hopes to contribute towards a more sustainable future.

Lim Sheng Haw, an artist from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, has the passion of giving caricature to a more positive meaning and celebrate one's self of being who you are. Haw usually draw the caricature characters by digital, mostly, and also using acrylic. The well known and famous characters became his most interesting artworks such as Stan Lee, Yuna, Zizan Razak, and Jack Ma. According to him, he makes people or characters who he thinks gave him inspirations and also someone who has really interesting facial features as his subject. He also draws for the client.
